Changing my review. We bought a Kia Forte last year and it's been great. We decided to buy a larger vehicle but when we tried we were told that the only way they will sell us a car is if we finance one. If you have cash and want to buy a car you can forget it. I understand they want to make more profit because they make a lot by financing vehicles but I believe this policy is wrong and maybe even illegal.
My experience was really bad, I just have lost my 7 years guarantee because a bad host, KIA doesn't care about it, they think you just want to take from them parts, WE PAY FOR IT, when we bought the car, really bad
I bought my Kia Soul about a year ago and since then my sales rep Raquel Martinez has been excellent all the way through she was very helpful and efficient to get my car fast. And now whenever I have a question she replies all the time.
Great service at the dealership
I told my salesman that I was going to wait for my car to get a minor new car service. (In the US the service is FREE for new cars usually but in Mexico it is a money making operation for the dealers and they reject your warranty if you get service elsewhere. It is problematic because you should be able to service your own car if you're able. It's illegal to require a new car customer in the US to have to have the dealer perform routine maintenance. But I digress... The service supervisor said it was 3 or 4 hours wait for a glorified oil change. And yes, I had an appointment. I asked if they had a shuttle service so that I could use the time productively. NO THEY DO NOT. I told them what any thinking human would say: That they don't value their customer's time. This is proof to me that they (Kia) allow their Mexico dealers to treat their customers worse in Mexico than in the U.S. Every customer must be given the same respect in Mexico as in the U.S. A customer is a customer. Show respect for all of your customers. Is anyone listening? KIA?
